According to John Warrillow, there comes a moment in every business owner's life when you hit rock bottom. When the weight of the business becomes too much to bear. It's a seminal moment in your life when you throw your arms up and say, "I just can't go on like this!"

For John, it wasn't the fact that his company's revenues were flat (although that was certainly the biggest elephant in the room); it was a very simple moment of clarity that changed his life forever. It was on a taxi ride home, late at night after week-long sales trip.  He hadn't seen his kids or his wife. He hadn't had a moment of downtime. As he sat alone in the back of the cab, he realized: "This model is broken. There's got to be a better way."

In this podcast, John shares tips from his book Built To Sell: Creating a Business That Can Thrive Without You.

  • Why you should narrow your service options
  • The secret to managing customer expectations
  • What you can learn from Apple stores
  • How to hire the right employees for change
  • The way to empower your sales force
  • How changing the language you use can help you sell your business
